Viritech exhibits Apricale hypercar at Salon Privé

  • Radical redesign of FCEV hydrogen powertrain delivers 1,000bhp hypercar weighing in at under 1,000kg

  • Apricale will deliver a unique hypercar driving experience combining track-car agility with zero emissions

  • Underlying technology will accelerate uptake of fuel cells across the automotive industry

The event was attended by many of most important players in the fields of both automotive and technology start-ups: Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, Plug and Play, and many others.

Viritech displayed its unique integrated DC-DC Convertor. This simultaneously controls both the fuel cell and the battery pack, removing the need to have separate DC-DC convertors for the two energy sources. The Viritech DC-DC Convertor enables major savings in terms of both packaging and cost.

Viritech was also invited to make a presentation on the Innovation Stage to a highly receptive audience of industry executives. Viritech explained how its technology enables a fuel cell powertrain for commercial vehicles which has no weight penalty compared to an equivalent diesel vehicle.

Timothy Lyons, CEO of Viritech said,” We are delighted to be taking our technology to Germany, where there is considerable interest in our revolutionary powertrains. We believe we can both significantly strengthen the UK’s zero-emission vehicles sector, and fulfil our vision of Sustainable Transportation, Without Compromise.
