Our agile development processes help Tier 1s and OEMs accelerate development of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) by offering radically more efficient products and solutions within a complete FCEV ecosystem, combining high-performance with easy implementation.

Weight

Most FCEV powertrains are closer in weight to BEV powertrains than ICE powertrains. Viritech architecture targets weight-parity with an ICE equivalent. For commercial vehicles, this means an FCEV can operate with the same payload and range as a diesel. In terms of operating cost, this is a game changer.

Supply Chain

Currently, many FCEV powertrain components are still in the early development stage – with prices and availability to match. Equally, there are few standard tools to integrate these products

Viritech’s products offer considerable cost savings and, because they are designed as an ecosystem, they can be integrated by vehicle manufacturers very easily.

Because we design every product to function within our ecosystem or on a standalone basis,  we can supply a complete powertrain solution, or individual components, such as DC-DC Converters or FCEV battery packs.

Products within an ecosystem:

Tri-Volt™ completely rethinks the traditional architecture of FCEVs which is based on using the fuel cell as a range extender. Instead, Tri-VoltTM is a dynamic energy ecosystem in which the fuel cell is the primary energy source, with lightweight high C-rate batteries capturing vehicle kinetic energy and providing short bursts of power.

Graph-Pro™ is a family of hydrogen structural, composite, pressure vessels, capable of being used as a load-bearing part of a chassis, aircraft, or marine vessel. This patent pending solution significantly reduces weight and space requirements for hydrogen storage

Viritech ecosystem: In addition to delivering class-leading products for hydrogen powertrains, Viritech can design entire FCEV powertrain ecosystems for customers, or work with customers to integrate a bespoke solution.
