Viritech Launches the Skywolf

Having recently released three stunning and ground-breaking hydrogen-powered vehicle designs, this month we are delighted to be unveiling the SkyWolf as a further demonstration of the huge potential for Viritech’s hydrogen powertrain solutions to change the way the world thinks about and powers transportation

Aviation, where the power-to-weight ratio is critical, will be a key application for hydrogen, and, as with automotive transportation, Viritech aims to be an industry pioneer and leader

So, while leaving the development of large hydrogen powered commercial aircraft to industry giants, such as Airbus, which aims to develop the world's first hydrogen fuelled, zero-emission commercial aircraft by 2035, Viritech’s immediate focus in aviation will be light aircraft and helicopters, providing powertrain solutions and lightweight graphene pressure vessels for both new aircraft and a potentially huge retrofit market, given the very long lifecycles of aircraft airframes

In unveiling the SkyWolf, Viritech’s design team has created another beautiful, futuristic Reference Design to share with and inspire helicopter manufacturers and potential commercial partners
